In Kansas City annual temperatures range from 0-100 degrees, an indication of the wonderful variety that is this city in the Heart of America. Bisected by the Missouri/Kansas state line the city's terrain is as varied as the climate. Kansas City is a city known for its fountains, parks and midwestern friendliness.

There are more fountains here than in any city in the world but Rome; more tree lined boulevards than Paris; and every neighborhood has, at least, a pocket park for its residents.

COMMUNITIES

Kansas City on the Missouri side (Jackson County) is the center of population for the metroplex with its businesses and residential districts, government offices and is headquarters for many nationally and internationally recognized organizations. Residential areas vary from older historic neighborhoods to beautiful new lakeside developments. In the southern part of the metro communities include Kansas City, Missouri; Lee's Summit.

In recent years a rapidly growing section of the metro area has been on the Kansas side of the state line, more specifically, Johnson County and its cities of: Overland Park,Olathe, Leawood, Lenexa, Fairway, Mission, Mission Hills, Shawnee, and Prairie Village -- all boasting some of the top school districts in the country. Further south, communities of Gardner, Edgerton and Desoto provide a taste of country living with nearby big city conveniences.
